Leia Sofia

Leia Sofía Mendez is a composer and violinist creating immersive, emotionally driven music for film and multimedia. Her work spans orchestral arranging, score supervision, and original composition.

 

Her 2025 album "The Dreamweaver" is a testament to this, unfolding into a narrative journey that blends fantasy, prophecy, and personal truth through cinematic themes and evolving motifs.

 

Leia Sofía’s work spans orchestral arranging, score supervision, and original composition. She's orchestrated and arranged two traditional African songs into Western classical style for Tunde Kelani’s "Cordelia." Her music was recognized internationally when she was named a semi-finalist in the Winter 2024 Indie Film Music Contest for her reinterpretation of the advertisement "Take Care."

 

With a deep love for scoring to picture, Leia Sofía brings a strong melodic and textural voice to every project. Her music bridges the seen and unseen, inviting audiences to explore, experience, and escape—one theme at a time.
